What is Equine Body Work?

An Equine Body Worker or EBW is trained in EQUINE MASSAGE, STRESS POINT THERAPY and PASSIVE STRETCHING techniques. This is beneficial for all horses from international competition horses to happy hackers or retired veterans.

Regular massage is a way to relieve the muscular stiffness which the horse's work can cause. It improves performance and shortens recovery time from injuries.

The Massage Session

The full Body Work session    takes around 60 to 90 minutes. In the initial session a full static and dynamic assessment of the horse is undertaken. This often includes a basic check of the horses tack especially saddle fitting and dentistry.

During the session any particular areas of tension will be noted and worked on. The body work session includes full sports massage, stress point therapy and passive stretching. Treatments will be tailored to your particular horses needs.

The Body Worker looks at the horse as a whole, considering any ways in which stiffness or tension may be affecting the performance or comfort.
